A delegation from Indialogue Foundation comprising of distinguished scholar Dr Sreeram Chaulia, Professor and Dean, Jindal School of International Affairs, O P Jindal Global University, and Secretary-General Mr M Behzad Fatmi attended the third Annual International Conference organised by North American University in Houston, Texas, USA.
The theme of the conference was “Global Challenges and Opportunities in Higher Education”. It was held between July 18- 20, 2023.
Dr Chaulia delivered the keynote speech in the inaugural session of the conference.
The conference was attended by 24 participants from 14 countries, including Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Tanzania, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Tunisia.
Following the conference in Houston, Dr Chaulia and Mr Fatmi travelled to the East Coast of the United States and visited various Hizmet Movement-affiliated institutions in New York and New Jersey such the ANT Bookstore & Cafe, Blue Dome Press, Embrace Relief, Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST), and Pioneer Academy.
They also paid a courtesy visit to the renowned Islamic scholar and thinker, Mr Fethullah Gulen whose ideas and teachings inspired the international Hizmet Movement.
